NCCP Performance Coach (Endurance). My running career started with the Nanaimo Track and Field club at the age of 10. Former middle distance runner (800M, 1500M and 1500M steeplechase.) Competed in BC Summer Games, BC High Schools and National Youth Legions. Ran for UVic for 2 years before retiring from competition.

Phillip Vannini has been involved in track + field for over thirty years, as an athlete, coach, writer, broadcaster, and organizer. He has been a discus thrower and shot-putter since 1988 and since re-discovering his love for competition and adult-aged physical activity in 2014 he has improved his PBs which he set while back in university,. He enjoys coaching all the throws and he is especially involved with training NTFC athletes based on Gabriola Island.
