Back in January, the 2020 track + field season promised so much excitement and anticipation.  NTFC athletes marked up their calendars with meet dates, coaches planned training sessions well ahead to make sure their athletes would peak at the right times, and the Board of Directors worked behind the scenes to get fresh team clothing designed and ordered.  Some of our senior athletes competed at indoor meets in Seattle and Vancouver early in the new year. After a dark rainy winter of training, competition season was finally on the horizon!

As March rolled in, the Spring High School program started a month earlier than usual. Fresh faces joined the ranks of our year-round athletes - some were U16s excited by the possibility of competing at the BC Summer Games.  High school track team practices also started - the season was underway!

Covid-19 came without warning two weeks into the season and the rest of the story we well know.

For our 2002 athletes graduating right now, many loose ends have been left untied and the chance to achieve new goals and create lasting memories to end a high school track career have been wiped away.  With these Grad Profiles we honour the dedication and hard work of our senior athletes.

NTFC Grads ... Congratulations on your achievements and may the future offer you countless opportunities to reach for your dreams!!
