2021 Spring Programs + Training Schedule
NTFC Spring programs will begin the week of April 12-17. A cap on group sizes, staggered training group start times and additional measures to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission have been put in place in accordance to BC Athletics, ViaSport and Public Health Orders.
All programs are currently full and there is a waitlist. We regret that we cannot accept any more athletes at this time. Please stay tuned to changes as we navigate these challenging times.
HIGH SCHOOL ENDURANCE
Fall training for XC and Winter/Spring for middle distance track events.
Fall sessions held at the Rotary Bowl, Westwood Lake and Beban Park.

HIGH SCHOOL SPEED + POWER
Spring speed, strength + conditioning for sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers, vaulters and multi-event athletes.
Fall/winter training sessions also available starting September.

HIGH SCHOOL THROWS
Training for high school-aged hammer, discus, javelin and shot put throwers. Focus on technique, strength and power development.

SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE: MONDAYS/WEDNESDAYS/FRIDAYS - check with coaches re: start times
Track and field conditioning program for 9-13 yr olds focusing on the fundamental motor skills of running, jumping and throwing. Age groupings (9-11 and 12-13) will progress based on physical literacy and skills. Older athletes will have greater exposure to more technique-focused activities while younger athletes will be oriented more towards track and field-related games and motor skill development.

**Important note re: NTFC training during Covid-19:
Coaches will expect full cooperation from athletes in following Covid-19 protocols as outlined in the above documents. If a coach deems behaviour as non-compliant, the athlete will be excused from practice. Repeated infractions may result in removal from program without refund.
