Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NTFC fall/winter programs will be resuming operations on a limited basis with a cap on group sizes, staggered group start times and measures put in place to reduce risk of transmission .
All programs are currently full, there is a waitlist and we regret that we cannot accept any more athletes at this time. Please stay tuned to changes as we move through these challenging times.

HIGH SCHOOL ENDURANCE
Track and trail training for XC and middle distance track events.
Group training sessions held at the Rotary Bowl, Westwood Lake and Beban Park.

TRAINING SCHEDULE: TUESDAYS + THURSDAYS 4:30 - 6:00pm; SATURDAYS TBD
HIGH SCHOOL SPEED + POWER
Strength and conditioning for sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers, vaulters and multi-event athletes.
Group training sessions at the Rotary Bowl.
Coaches Mike Viers + Wanda Urbanowicz (sprints and hurdles), Sven Donaldson (pole vault), Marc Paris (high jump), Dave Reid (horizontal jumps)
TRAINING SCHEDULE: TUESDAYS + THURSDAYS 3:45 - 5:15pm; SATURDAYS 9:30 - 11:00am
HIGH SCHOOL THROWS
Training for high school-aged hammer, discus, javelin and shot put throwers. Focus on technique, strength and power development.

TRAINING SCHEDULE: MONDAYS + FRIDAYS 2:45 - 4:15pm
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT WINTER CONDITIONING
Track and field conditioning program for 9-13 yr olds focusing on the fundamental motor skills of running, jumping and throwing. Age groupings (9-11 and 12-13) will progress based on physical literacy and skills. Older athletes will have greater exposure to more technique-focused activities while younger athletes will be oriented more towards track and field-related games and motor skill development.

MASTERS WINTER CONDITIONING
Strength and conditioning for 35+ yr old athletes training for fun, fitness and Masters indoor and outdoor competition.

TRAINING SCHEDULE: MONDAY, WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS 10:00 - 11:30am
**Important note re: NTFC training during Covid-19:
Coaches will expect full cooperation from athletes in following Covid-19 protocols as outlined in the above documents. If a coach deems behaviour as non-compliant, the athlete will be excused from practice. Repeated infractions may result in removal from program without refund.
