For over 50 years, the Nanaimo Track and Field Club has been welcoming athletes of all levels from ages 5 to 95. Today, as one of the biggest clubs in the province, we continue to introduce the fundamentals of track + field to beginners and celebrate the excellence of our top athletes at the provincial, national and international levels.
Former NTFC athlete Ethan Katzberg won a gold medal and broke the Canadian Hammer Throw record at the World Track + Field Championships in Budapest recently. Ethan started with NTFC as a Junior Development athlete and his father Bernie Katzberg, coached Ethan in hammer through high school. Ethan currently lives and trains in Kamloops. We are so proud of your accomplishments Ethan, congratulations!!

Congratulations to our NTFC medalists at the 2023 Legion Youth National Track + Field Championships in Sherbrooke PQ. U18 athlete Haley Martin brought home a silver medal and personal best in the 400m hurdles, along with a bronze as lead leg on the Team BC 4x400m relay team. U16 Rhys Beaudoin raced to win a bronze and a PB in the 1500m steeplechase. Well done!!!
The Nanaimo Track & Field Club has partnered with the BC Amateur Sport Fund to raise funds to help cover costs related to the acquisition of track & field equipment including javelins, shots, high jump + pole vault mats, hammers, hurdles, steeplechase barriers, etc. These items are necessary to replace old equipment and to help ensure the continued operations of the club for practice and competition.
Your gift will help enable the club to offer its programming on a cost-efficient basis and reduce financial barriers to participation.
Thank you for your support
Nanaimo Track + Field Club respectfully acknowledges and graciously thanks the Snuneymuxw First Nation,
